SageRider Tubing Wick System PMT

Introducing the innovative Paraffin Removal and Maintenance system.

SageRider Tubing Wick System PMT

The SageRider Tubing Wick System PMT (Paraffin Melting Tool) is a patented battery powered tool designed to be conveyed on all forms of wireline (Slickline, Braided Line & E-line). The system utilizes heat as well as a cutting system to remove the paraffin from the production tubing wall and bring tubing back to full drift.

The SageRider Tubing Wick is designed to heat up to greater than 450 degrees. By utilizing the heat as well as the cutting system allows for full removal and full drift production tubing. Through a strong understanding of the paraffin make up as well as current methods deployed, the SageRider Tubing Wick is a game changer in paraffin removal and maintenance.

 Tubing Wick (PMT System)

The tool is deployed by wireline when the system is being utilized. The wireline is used to convey the tool in and out of the production tubing. The tool is battery powered, which gives great flexibility in how it can be conveyed. The tool is most commonly run on slickline, but the design team had made sure to have full compatibility to make up to all forms of wireline. This forward think was to ensure that the SageRider Tubing Wick could be deployed or conveyed by all forms of wire-line systems for maximum versatility.

The Tubing Wick (PMT System) has taken land paraffin removal operations that previously took 4-8 hours and cut it down to 45 minutes. The system will allow for more wells to be serviced in a shorter time frame from present methods. The offshore operations saw days reduced from the current time that was spend per well when the PMT system was deployed.

The SageRider Tubing Wick takes paraffin removal and maintenance to the next level and beyond, this system is truly light years ahead of the traditional methods.

  Benefits of this system include:

  • Tubing is cleaned to full drift, unlike current method.
  • Reduction in maintenance time and frequency
  • Well able to produce at full production string capacity
  • Allows logging and well servicing tool string to operations to be performed as designed.
  • No old paraffin left in the tubing, extending the time it takes for the paraffin to build back up.
